Reduce, Reuse, Recyle

Learning to Take Care of Our Planet

This week, our pupils took part in an engaging and informative assembly all about Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling! Led by Alex from Resource Futures and Kat from SWISCO, the session helped children understand the importance of looking after our planet and how small changes in our daily routines can make a big difference.

The assembly covered key recycling facts, including what can and can't be recycled, how waste impacts the environment, and why reducing and reusing are just as important as recycling. The children were encouraged to think about how they can make sustainable choices both at school and at home—whether it’s by using a reusable water bottle, bringing a packed lunch in a recyclable container, or making sure waste goes into the correct bin.

The children loved taking part in interactive activities, with some even getting the chance to show off their recycling knowledge in fun challenges! They left the assembly feeling inspired and ready to take action.

As a school, we are committed to promoting eco-friendly habits, and this assembly was a great step in encouraging our pupils to think about how they can help protect the planet. We look forward to seeing them put their learning into practice!
